Yup. That's right The Rebellion of the Builder 2 is being worked on. So far, the first mission is pretty much complete and the second mission is about half-way. I'm kinda projecting this FM set to be about 10 missions long. Here are some pics for ya...
Mission 1: The Sands of Fire and Ice
Mission 2: A Travel Through Smelter Volcano

There is still a whole lot to be done on this FM set. I'll try to post more pics when I've progressed on the FM set.

20th Feb 2010, 20:20
Excellent. I am looking forward to it. Send me a PM if you need a tester.:)

14th Apr 2010, 01:21
Here are four pics of the third mission, An Unexpected Confrontation...
The spiders here vary in sizes. The very huge ones are best to be avoided.:p

17th May 2010, 04:24
Great work, GORT! Can't wait ROTB2 :)

17th May 2010, 23:15
Oh see one spot to save. ⌐⌐ Looking good.

12th Jul 2010, 05:08
OK. I'm now working on the 4th mission. This one is taking up a great deal of time to make. I'm trying to make this city almost as big ass the one in "Unknown Treasure". In this city, you'll have access to rooftops, numerous buildings, and maybe sewers (that is if I have enough terrain brushes to create it after I've made the city.).In this mission, you play as Saria. What she has to do is try to gather some important info on the studies from the mechanists that are taking place in a particular spot in the maw (you'll know where if you've played TROTB.). Now Saria goes by her knight code. So she can't do some things that Garrett can do. But fear not. Garrett will have a crack at this city too.:D

10th Aug 2010, 07:30
Well, I'm pleased to say that the main layout of the fourth mission is pretty much done. Both the castle and Hammerite church will definitely be in this mission. Now, just to see if I can, I'm going to try my luck on creating the sewer system. Now there's no guarantee that this sewer system will be in the beta version of the FM set. Here's what the info. box has to say about the mission so far...

Brush Counts
4726 Terrain 1018 Objects
157 Light 660 Room
3 Flow 1 Area - 0 active

I still want to do a whole lot more to this mission. And not to forget, Garrett will be in this city too later in the FM set. Come to think of it, I may have to increase the amount of missions for this FM set. We'll just have to see. Anyway, here are 2 current pics. These areas may change later on.

30th Aug 2010, 15:43
:mad2: Looks like I need to start all over on the fourth mission. The map layout is just way too much for DromEd. Oh well, at least I have a good plan on what to do. I just hope I'll be able to do this a little faster now. I don't want the fourth mission to take forever to create.

9th Sep 2010, 13:22
Well, looks like I'll be ok after all. I had to delete some bushes here and there, but its still looking good. Here's one final pic of the fourth mission. This pic kinda shows why this mission is taking a bit longer than the others. I'm making custom objects and AIs for my missions with anim8or.

18th Sep 2010, 13:39
OK, I've made a video of the first four missions. You can see it on youtube. Here's a link to the video. It may be a little dark.

16th Oct 2010, 06:27
It may be a little dark.Yes. With my CRT monitor and the display gamma boosted to 1.5 (via Nvidia control panel), I can barely see it. Screen shots need to be boosted to 1.8 to be comparable to standard web brightness. Is there a movie editor that can do that? That said, thanks for the effort. I look forward to playing the missions.

16th Oct 2010, 10:46
Here's another version of the same video. I hope you can see this one better.

18th Oct 2010, 06:52
Thanks, GORT. I was able to see the second one fine from the LCD in my hotel. I think it will be better for most.

Looks like this one is not for arachnophobes.:)

3rd Nov 2010, 13:13
OK, I've just got a few things left to do on the fourth mission. After I'm done with that, I'll be working on the fifth mission. I have a feeling that this FM set may grow into more than 10 missions. The good thing about that is that some of those missions are sort of repeats; only the other character is in them.
(ex: The fourth mission, Saria was there first. Garrett plays it later.)

Now I've haven't got my voice actors just yet, but I am using some TTS voices to complete the conversations. This only temporary. These audio files are only for the alpha version so the alpha tester will understand what's going on in the conversations, and never intended for the beta and final version of this FM set.
I must say that sometimes the voices will sound almost correct at times. But most of the time it just makes me want to laugh.:p

16th Nov 2010, 04:44
I'm finally going to start on the fifth mission. This is where Saria goes out in the woods where Garrett came out of. Now the first four missions are not fully done, but they are definitely playable and can be completed. So far the conversations should be complete.

Now I'm not so sure it ready for it yet, but I'm wondering whether or not I should bring out an early alpha test with just these four missions. I'm just not sure about doing this right now. What do you guys think?

29th Nov 2010, 19:55
Still working here. I still have a whole lot to do in the fifth mission, but here's a few pics.:D
Yup. It seems that Saria found her way into the Egyptian era as well, but in a different location (thanks to something she found in the city). I'm going to try to see if I can create a spear wielding AI with custom motion tags. Hopefully, it will turn out ok.

31st Jan 2011, 03:30
Things are getting a little busy in RL. But I am still working on this. At the moment, I'm trying to create custom motions for my spear wielding AI. It's a bit tedious, but I am making progress. I'll try to get a video on youtube to show the AI in action as soon as I can.:thumb:

Here are two pics of the AI so far with no spear. The spear will be an attached object.

I may need to do some more work on the AI, though. He still looks too much like the AIs with a khopesh.

28th Mar 2011, 19:34
Well, things are going a bit slow at the moment. I'm still trying to create more motions of the that AI shown above, but my work place is demanding more hours of my time right now. Also, my mind is getting a little exhausted on the editor. So, I'm creating XG MIDI music to give me a fresh mind when I get back to it. Who knows? I could use those .mids for event music in parts this FM set.;)

30th Mar 2011, 13:44
OK, I'm still working on the motions for that spear AI. So far, it's got search and standing motions. Right now, I'm working on the fighting techniques (thrusting, swipe, and a few blocking styles). It's a tedious effort, but I'll do my best to get it all done. When it's all done, I'll even have it up for grabs. I'm also thinking about creating a battle axe type motions (not 100% sure yet). I'm still on the fifth mission. As of right now, I've titled the fourth mission "A City with Problems". I'd figure it suited the mission due to having Saria help out the people in the city with their problems. Now I've been doing a lot of thinking and planing of a flying mission. Of course, this would take place in a more modern time. The player would have to watch out for fighter jets, projectiles, and other obstacle. Now I've haven't got this part fully set in the storyline at the moment, but there is a part where Saria does go where Garrett was sent to in TROTB1's "Contradiction". For Saria, she must not confront Garrett here, but may need to help him on his way. Some places will be unavailable and places that were unavailable for Garrett will be for Saria.

As you can see, I have a hell of a lot to do here. I'll try to keep this thread updated as much as I can.:thumb:

17th May 2011, 16:30
The fifth missions is nearly complete. Just got to add a few AIs and get some objectives to work. Also, this mission now has a title, "The Secret of the Occult Woods". I'll be happy when I get this one done. The next mission is where Garrett is looking around in the city to see if he can figure out who is this Sir Edwards character and why is the King Magnus has an interest with him.

18th May 2011, 09:27
At the moment this is what the title screen looks like. It was kinda quickly made.
For some reason, I couldn't just copy the whole title. So, here's just the main.pcx file.
I might change it a bit. What do you guys think of it?

12th Jul 2011, 21:30
The sixth mission "The King's Request" is almost done. Just got to make it a bit challenging (not too much, though). Still a lot to be done. This FM set is now looking to be more than 10 missions long. I thought I could restrict to 10, but I want the storyline to be a good one. The good thing is that some of the mission layouts are already done (ex: Saria in the contradiction mission and Unknown Treasure but with some map modifications and extensions.) But yeah, a whole lot to do here. One thing for sure. If it becomes to get even bigger, I'll have to start a part three (hopefully not. I want to work on UT as well.):p

13th Jul 2011, 19:45
cool, hope it isn't to much like the one I wan't to make, oh I will nead help to build mine, and it seams like you know a thing or 2, so we could help each other out maybe, I now a few tricks that not a lot know.
and hope to bring the good old days back with you :)

19th Jul 2011, 16:49
OK, I'm now working on the 7th mission. This mission is where Garrett goes into The Smelter Tomb, east of the city. What he's doing there is searching for a connection between the Mechanists and the time stones. Nornally, he wouldn't do this, but he believes that this may have a link of the Mechanists finding the Trickster's remains. He doesn't want to take that chance. But what Garrett finds in there is a mystery in it's own.

What do you need help in? I'll try to help you as much as I can.

2nd Aug 2011, 01:02
I've been doing quite a number on the 7th mission. I don't want to spoil the surprise in this mission, but here are a few pics of this mission.
There's a lot to be done here. I want this mission to be a bit challenging. But not impossible. :p

10th Aug 2011, 05:39
Excellent screenshots!

16th Aug 2011, 17:55
Things are looking really good in the 7th mission. I'm getting close to finish up and moving on to the next mission. In mission 8 Saria will be looking for Garrett after coming back from the Occult Woods. Unlike what happened to Garrett in the 7th mission, Saria couldn't get in the Smelter Tomb. So she looks for Garrett in another city. If you've played any of my FMs, then you'll know what city it is. ;)

Now this city will have some differences that Garrett couldn't get to before. And there will be one particular area that Saria can't get to either.

17th Aug 2011, 08:26
I've just uploaded a video on youtube. It's a preview of the fifth mission, "The Secret of the Occult Woods"
Here's a link: Click here. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iOV-O97vUs);)

This shows Saria's game play. You'll notice that she is a bit faster than Garrett, and her light gem is more sensitive.

3rd Oct 2011, 16:20
So far, so good. At the moment, I'm creating and taking out parts of the city in the 8th mission. Right now, I'm titling it "The Imposter". The south side is a little over halfway done, terrain wise. I'm hoping I won't have to take out too much. But if I have to, I can adapt to it with having certain areas that are unnecessary blocked by closed non-frobable gates. There may be a few alterations to the map because I'm using the version of the mission I was trying to update. The only hard parts of making this mission will be keeping it below the brush limit and making sure the events that happen while interacting with a few AIs to work properly. As for the next mission, I'm kinda fighting between two scenarios. Either I have a former Keeper confronting Saria or she discovers on how to use the time stones that she obtained.

1st Feb 2012, 04:35
Mission 8, "The Imposter", is pretty much done. I may or may not need to add more AIs in it though. Anyway, all of the objectives are in and working. Now it's time for me to start on the 9th mission. I'm still at the fork of the road here. At this point of the storyline, Garrett was sent on a magical journey to who knows where, and Saria is going back to the Hammerite High Priest, Richter to gather info on the the tomb Garrett was in. So here's my question. Which of the two characters should I start next?

Here's how the storyline scenario sequence is lined up so far:
M1 - Garrett
M2 - Garrett
M3 - Garrett
M4 - Saria
M5 - Saria
M6 - Garrett
M7 - Garrett
M8 - Saria

1st Feb 2012, 05:53
So here's my question. Which of the two characters should I start next?

Without having an outline of the story and how it fits into the previous missions, I cannot begin to answer that question. I'd be happy to look at an outline and give my opinion. Also to test this monster. :) Drop me a PM if you are interested.

1st Feb 2012, 15:23
I'll have to make sure I have all of the missions done and have the real voice actors first before anyone can beta tested it. The TTS voices could drive the testers nuts (Especially with Microsoft Sam's voice). I'll PM you the outline of the story.

3rd Feb 2012, 06:01
@ Peter Smith: OK. I've just PMed the basic storyline to you. Would of done it sooner, but I had to get to work before I was late. :o
If you have any questions about it, I would like them PMed so the storyline won't spoiled here. :thumb:

9th Mar 2012, 14:39
OK, I'm working on the 9th mission titled "The Forgotten Kingdom". It will continue on Saria's scenario. Since Saria was unable to find Garrett in neither of the cities and couldn't get in Smelter Tomb, she goes back and tells High Priest Richter about her efforts. Richter was reminded of the story about an old kingdom through a mountain pass north from Smelter Volcano. It's been decades since anyone has even talked about it that nobody knows if it ever existed. But the important part of the story is that it had a interesting link with Smelter Tomb. After he was done with the story, there was a faint rumbling and a boom sound coming from the north mountain range. They quickly run outside look around. There was a strange glow in the mountains. Both Richter and Saria decided that she should check it out, hoping to find Garrett.

So far, there's a lot of map building to do here. The first part is going to be kind of like a abandoned city. I want the feel of this part of the mission to be similar to the OM "The Haunted Cathedral" in Thief 1, but in this mission the buildings will have a bit more detail and the player will be able to get on a few rooftops as well. At the moment, it looks promising. But the main focus will be in the huge castle. I'm really hoping that I can pull this off without too many problems.:(

@ Peter Smith: I'm still working on the storyline. Right now I'm reworking on Chapter (or mission) 4: A City with Problems.

28th Mar 2012, 11:59
OK. I've got about 25% of the map layout done. Here are a few pics of the mission so far. Remember, these are early versions of the mission.

The Beginning of the city.

Another part of the city.

The castle's main entrance.

One of the castle's hallways.

Part of the castle's garden.

Outside part of the garden.

30th Apr 2012, 01:57
Things are moving a bit slow, but I am still making progress. Right now, I'm working on the third floor of the castle. This will be where the king's, queen's and most loyal knight's bedrooms are at. The library has become a great two-story success. The total architecture of the mission is about 2/3 done. The next mission will have Saria finding Garrett while they discover Sir Edward's dark plans of an archaeology discovery (Remember a Mechanist's note in the mission "Contradiction"?).

On top of all this, I've finally figured out how to end this FM set. So I am now trying to cap this all off with the maximum of 12 missions. However, I may need to make a part 3 sometime in the future to complete the whole big story. We'll have to see what happens with this one when it actually gets to it's final state.

8th May 2012, 04:20
I'm almost done with the architecture (well over 3/4 done). Now I'm getting the AIs, puzzles, and objectives in the mission. Also, I'm trying to create those classic type briefing movies with either one of the characters narrating, depending on the mission. And I'm creating the music for this whole FM set with the Yamaha SXG-50 MIDI driver. I still got a lot on my plate here, but at least I'm still progressing, staying at a mission cap of 12. I just hope that I can get this ready some time this year... :o

30th May 2012, 09:35
Well, the ninth mission is almost done. I just need to put in objectives, check the AIs' paths, and make sure the conversations are working correctly. After this mission I'll have 3 more to go. I'm trying my hardest not to go over a total of 12 missions (so far, so good on that part).:D

The next mission will take place on the high regions of the northern mountain range pass the forgotten kingdom. This is where Saria and Garrett re-unite and discover the just what Edward's plan.

19th Jun 2012, 01:58
Well, things are kind of slowing down a bit. Right now, I'm trying to get whole morning view work correctly. My first plan was to use distant art for background mountain ranges, but it didn't go so well. So, I've decided to create a greatly scaled half-sphere (about 200x200x80) with custom made tga files (9 of them so far), and throw it in the middle of the open terrain. Here's what I've got so far...

Now this was only a test. I may do some more editing on those tga files. There is a hell of a lot for me to create in this mission. All and all, I think I'm getting on the right track for this mission. :)

13th Aug 2012, 14:50
Things are going quite well in the 10th mission. The architecture is getting close to being done. I just need to finish up final area of the mission. Then I'll be able to put in the rest of the stuff. In this mission, I've decided that your Saria, searching for Garrett. He is somewhere in this mission, but the both of them also will discover Sir Edward's plan that he had with the king in Smelter City.
Here are some more pics.

After this mission, I'm going to make the flying mission. In this mission, both Garrett and Saria talk to Richter about Sir Edward's plan. With the help of Richter's fellow Hammerites they construct a flying machine that will take Garrett and Saria to Sir Edward's black zeppelin. It's going to be a lot of work, but I think I can do it.:thumb:

1st Nov 2012, 07:13
At the moment this is what the title screen looks like. It was kinda quickly made.
For some reason, I couldn't just copy the whole title. So, here's just the main.pcx file.
I might change it a bit. What do you guys think of it?

GORT: why you didn't inform me about this thread?? You know I'm a really big fan of TROTB, so I would have been glad to read it. I'll keep an eye opened on it.

Nevermind, I think there's still some work to do on this pic.

Give a shout if you are online!

7th Dec 2012, 05:29
Hi, massimilianogoi. I've been pretty busy lately. That pic there is just temperarly there. I'll be making a more suitable one later on. :thumb:

15th Dec 2012, 15:34
:thumb: at what percentage you are?

Is there something I can betatest?

17th Dec 2012, 05:23
Not at the moment. There is still much to be done. Right now, I'm still working on the 10th mission out of a total of 12 missions. The architecture is over 2/3 done. Mainly, its the ruins on the highest peak of the mountain I'm working on. This is the final area of the mission where you'll find the Mechanist trying to carry out Sir Edward's plans. So far, missions from 1 to 9 are in their completable alpha states. I'm still not ready to bring any of them out for beta-testing.

To top it all, this is the busy end of the year at my work place. Because of this, my free time is a bit scarce. I'll still go at this, it just that it will be at a slower pace.

18th Dec 2012, 16:35
Don't worry :) I'll patiently and trusty wait.

6th Jan 2013, 05:54
Things are going to take while before I get back to speed on this FM set. I'm converting all of the missions here to version 1.19. It's for the best. So far, I don't have to go from scratch just yet. It's just mainly redoing a few brushes here and there. I did, however, had to reduce some of the particle attachments on my fire creature, but with the blooming effects it turned out fine. I will have to go back on each mission I've already done. More ideas are forming in my head. I can do more things in my missions now than before.

So, this might take even longer to make, but I think its worth it. Who knows. I might update it all up just as quick as I've made each of these missions. Wish me luck!:thumb:

9th Jan 2013, 08:00
Yup. After doing some troubleshooting with dealing with those odd terrain brushes, I've finally got all of my missions to work in v1.19. Well, almost all of them. I'm currently redoing the 10th mission and I must say that its looking much better than before. This version is more forgiving when it comes to certain assertion errors than in v1.18 :mad2:.

4th Feb 2013, 08:46
OK, I'm pretty much caught up to where I was before switching to v1.19. I'm still working on the 10th mission, but I'm a bit over half-way done with the architecture of the whole mission. All I got to do is get the palace created. Then setup objectives and what-not. Here an updated pic of the palace entrance. :)

19th Feb 2013, 16:11
Here's a video of the Fire section of the Mountain Palace of the 10th mission. :D

21st Feb 2013, 12:26
I'm very pleased on how the 10th mission is working out. I'm currently working on the Ice Section of the Mountain Palace. The Fire Section is pretty much done, unless I figure out something new to make it more challenging. Just remember that this FM set requires the blooming effects to make certain things look right (ex: The Sunlight, Fire Creatures, and other lit up things.). As it stands, I would have to say that the architecture is at about 75% done. I have to say. So far, this mission takes a bit longer, as a whole, to optimize than the other missions in this FM set. Probably because of all of those 26-sided cylinders I've used for tunnels and spiral staircases inside the mountain. Still, its a whole lot faster than on v1.18. I'm also making good use of the mtl files for ice shine and mountain snow glow. Well, I've better get back to work on it. You guys have been waiting for a long time for this FM set to come out. It's just that v1.19 have opened a few doors to me and I want to take advantage of them.:p

25th Feb 2013, 01:41
Just remember that this FM set requires the blooming effects to make certain things look right (ex: The Sunlight, Fire Creatures, and other lit up things

This blooming effect came with the 1.19 patch?

OK, I'm pretty much caught up to where I was before switching to v1.19. I'm still working on the 10th mission, but I'm a bit over half-way done with the architecture of the whole mission. All I got to do is get the palace created. Then setup objectives and what-not. Here an updated pic of the palace entrance. :)

Missions in sunlight!! Wha... I really enjoy this kind of missions. And I can see you are setting some futuristic environments, like in the coolest levels of the first MOD. Great!!

3rd Apr 2013, 08:59
Things slowed down a bit due to RL events that I just couldn't avoid. Some good and a few that were pretty bad. But I am making progress here. The objectives are almost done for the 10th mission. Right now, I'm testing out the functions of the conversations to make sure they work right no matter what goes on in the mission. Also, I'm testing the way I've got Saria (the character that gets played in this mission) being able to let Garrett know when it is a good time to follow her by having the player use a walkie talkie. (Should I show a video example of this?) So far, its working like a charm after the player double-presses the item button. It would be nice if I could get it to be a single press, but it was pretty tricky to get it to work at all. Well, at least its working right now. :p

3rd Apr 2013, 15:00
Here's a video link of what I was talking about. :D

30th Apr 2013, 06:59
Well, I'm now working on the 11th mission.:thumb:
There's crap load for me to do here. I've got to make the fighter jets fly correctly and the flight path is in working order. Here's a pic so far.
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/xGORTx/dump002-6_zps8ca72fd8.png (http://s10.photobucket.com/user/xGORTx/media/dump002-6_zps8ca72fd8.png.html)
Main objective...
Get to that Mechanist Zeppelin. I still need to create the flying contraption that Garrett needs to use in order to get there.:p

10th May 2013, 11:54
It is becoming a bit tricky, but I am making some progress on the flight paths. Here's a video of what I've got so far. Click Here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7bcbzIXuY8) to see the video.
There's still a whole lot to do here. Hope you guys like it.

15th May 2013, 09:14
Things are going quite well in the 11th mission. Still need to put in more jet flight patterns, but that shouldn't take too long. I'm currently roughly at about 50% done with the mission. In the mission, there are more things to watch out for besides the jets dropping bombs on you. I'm going to try my darnedest to make this mission not very easy. Beatable, but not very easy. :gamer:

When Garrett's health gets too low, the flying machine triggers the emergency alarm. I should see if I could make it also add some flames to machine.
You will be able to move while flying. You'll need to if you don't want to die. :)

18th Jun 2013, 03:39
Well, things are moving along. Right now, I'm working on the cargo and maintenance floors. Here are some pics so far. It's not much but here...
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/xGORTx/dump007-3_zpscc4460e2.png (http://s10.photobucket.com/user/xGORTx/media/dump007-3_zpscc4460e2.png.html)
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/xGORTx/dump006-2_zps4b46055e.png (http://s10.photobucket.com/user/xGORTx/media/dump006-2_zps4b46055e.png.html)
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a110/xGORTx/dump008_zps80eee50d.png (http://s10.photobucket.com/user/xGORTx/media/dump008_zps80eee50d.png.html)

As you can see, I am making some kind of progress here on this last mission. But this is just only the first area of the whole carrier. I'm not so sure if I want it so that the player could be able to walk outside on the landing strip. It would be a nice touch (maybe that should be Garrett's escape area).

26th Jun 2013, 10:25
Looks pretty cool... And those modern jets...

In the last mission, Garrett will be able to see what the security cameras are seeing. Here's a video of what it looks like so far. If any of the cameras get damaged (like with a fire arrow), the view will be nothing but white noise.
Click here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNCc7WQfs_U) to see the video.

BEYOND AWESOMENESS!!! I suggest you to add the camera noise and a greenish tint of the camera view, since their eyes are green.

So far, so good. It's getting a little slow on the progress side, but I'm still going at it (I'm trying to get a Graphic Design position at my workplace). Here's a pic of the outside of the hover carrier.

That crane took some work to get in DromEd without scaring it, but I was able to eventually get it in. :D

Are you trying to work as graphic designer? What is your current profession?

Elements of our modern worlds makes your missions mad and full of charming :gamer:

can't wait to play it.

At the moment, I'm a Crew Leader in the packaging department of my workplace. I don't want to waste my true talent that worked for since High School.

BTW: Here's what the hover carrier's exterior looks like so far. There's still much to be done here.

Hell, it's HUGE!! Whatta hell is this?? It seems some kind of aerial aircraft carrier!

You definitively breached the Thief world into someone new and different. Glad to see the great Mechanists still rules (as it should be).

9th Aug 2013, 02:53
He he. This is the Hover Carrier I was talking about in the last mission. Yes, it is indeed huge. Thank goodness that the new dark engine v1.21 can take it. That is not just an object. You actually start inside of this beast of a machine, operated by the Mechanists under Sir Edward's (Karras's lost son) order.

This might be considered to be a spoiler.
Edward is following the scriptures of his father that reads of a mysterious creature that once lived in the maw (guess you know who we're talking about).

I will not click the spoiler XD lol

I want to play with surprise, otherwiase how funny would be??...

A Karras' son? This might sound interesting...

Wow, you are a graphics wizard, Gort. :)

I am eagerly awaiting the release, and testing if the opportunity presents itself.

10th Aug 2013, 20:42
Yeah, you are right, Peter

21st Aug 2013, 06:40
Yeah, thanks to that new dark engine update, I have more possibilities of level design. :D

I'm getting pretty close for beta testing now. I'm almost done with the last mission. Before this whole FM set goes beta, I'll need to rally up the actual voice actors instead of the TTS robot voices (although its a bit amusing to hear some of them talking to each other). Also, I still need to construct some of the cut-scenes to make a better storyline. They'll be either in-game recordings and transitional stills. I can't do the movie stuff in anim8or ATM.:p

So, yeah. I'm getting there guys. :thumb:

Things are going great for the FM set. I'm now currently gathering up all of the conversations and putting them on a list. Once I'm done with that, I'll start recruiting voice actors. It's all starting to sound like I'll be able to have this FM set to go Beta soon. :thumb:

OK. I've pretty much got all of the lines straiten out so they make a little more sense in the FM set. Now it's time to rally up the voice actors. I've already have someone voice acting Richter Kensington. I'm a little uncertain about Saria at the moment (lots of voice acting for her). There's quite a bit for Garrett too. I also need voice acting for these characters.

Egyptian Guard 1
Egyptian Guard 2
Misc Hammerite
Sir Edward
King Magnus
King David
King Brian
Misc Female Villager 1
Misc Male Villager 1
Pagan Male
Misc Male Guard 1
Misc Female Guard
Mage Apparition
Warrior Apparition
Keeper Apparition

So, yeah. That's where I'm at right now. :p

Who is Ammon? Isn't a synonim of bullets, or something like that?

For the Pagan Male you could take the Pagan Male from Thief 3, same for Misc Male Guard 1.

I have a studio microphone here, maybe...

OK. I've haven't been here for a while. Getting back to posting on this thread was kinda weird, but here I am. Anyway, I'm still working on this FM set for Thief 2. Things are looking up. I'm getting my voice actors now. There is still much to be done, but just to make this post a little worth while I'll show you the 4th mission's briefing video I've put on youtube. Hope you all like it. The voice actor for Saria is Caradavin from ttlg.

OK, things are moving along. I'm getting more voice actors for this FM set. While I'm getting the voice overs in, I'm also putting in a few hidden missions. Now these missions won't be part of the storyline, but I'd figure it would be fun to have them in there. There won't be any clues on how to get to them. I want that to be a secret. What you'll see here is what one of them looks like. I'm sure a few of you will know what it's referencing. :D

This is where you'll start at.

Here's another area of the mission

Not sure what this is yet? Maybe this will help. :p

I've even manage to make some of the potions to work pretty well. Here's the green potion at work.

Man, It's been quite a while since I've logged in here.

Anyway, TROTB 2 is now Beta and is currently being beta-tested. I'm not sure when it will be in it's final state, but things are looking good so far. The FM campaign is staying at 12 normal missions and 3 hidden missions. The current file size is at about 1.64GB zipped.
