Hey there. I'm new to the forums, but I was hoping someone might be able to help me out.

So here's the deal. Initially when starting the game, the game would show me the opening cutscene. After that, absolutely no sound. After that I found that I needed the proper patch and a PhysX update. These things were completed. All of a sudden, once i get in game, lots of openings before the game start to appear. (Such as the "WB" logo and "Nvidia" logo that didnt appear before.) I can also access multiple save game profiles. However, once the "Start Game" icon appears...ABSOULTELY NO SOUND...AGAIN.

The sound issue would not bother as much if I could actually ADVANCE through some of the game! When I start, I am escorting the joker through Arkham Asylum. I go down the elevator and up to the door. The problem is...the guards just keep walking into the door. not stopping to open it or anything...just walking like usual into a dead end. (All this with no sound either) In the mean time, I'm walking all over the place trying to possibly find an alternate route or something, but not finding anything.:mad2:

I have no idea what's going on and have not seen anyone anywhere with this same problem, but I am hopeful that someone can help me out with this problem.

Thank you!

I have the same problem with the SB Audigy 2 ZS, I've tried everything with no luck. Kinda sucks that a company puts out a product with known compatabilty issues and no fixes.I can disable my sound card and make it to the door before the scan but no further and the guards just keep walking in place. I call BS on this whole mess. And before anyone chimes in I've tried every fix mentioned, Edited sound file , turned down hardware acceleration, updated soundcard drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the game.AAARRRGGGHHH !!!!

The audigy 2 was made years before this game was even thought of, but they should still support their legacy hardware if it is capable of doing it's job.

I got annoyed with Nvidia when they decided not to make nforce2 drivers for Vista.
