View Full Version : If BAA2 is in Gotham City, please make the sky red, not blue!

I really hope Rocksteady makes the sky red if we get to free-roam Gotham, and not blue. I know it was blue in BAA, but red would be so much better.

Like a video game of BTAS. :D

Errr...why?
Hopefully it rains 24/7. Rain makes superheroes even cooler(no pun intended).

The sky in Arkham Asylum was good enough.
Seriously Elite, would a red sky be that important? C'mon

Well, I don't really care too much about the sky, I just can't wait for AA2! :D :D :D

I like red because of the nostalgia thugh:

Red is cool; Blue is cool. Any color is good. I prefer dark, since it does make more sense that shadows are hidden in darkness.

But it really doesn't matter. I also can't wait for the game, but first a trailer must be out to sooth my monotony!

That wasn't the sky always in the show anyway. They were trying to show lighting contrasts. :P

lmao, well, I believe the editing was a bit sharp there :D Then again, when you've got a Batman punching people into fireballs, I guess he can toss Joker off a building too.

Wasn't that game based on the Batman movie (Burton's) from 1989? In that one the Joker actually *dies* at the end...by falling off a building.

When I saw red sky, it made me think of Crisis on Infinite Earths, but then I saw the BTAS picture. Would there be an explanation to the sky being red? My small brian would need an explanation.

First post.. hello :D. Yes, this game was based off the 89' Burton film. I love that Batman game.

I would like to see a blue sky. Especially since they are trying to make it realistic.
I also hope that they will have a weather system, if they are going to have it take place in a free-roam Gotham City.

N20. Or roaring through the sky with the batplane viewing the gotham skyline. It all just sound so boaring. ;)

That early sunrise would make for a nice backdrop for the ending, With a ruined "Asylum" and a battered Batman

Maybe he could even walk off into the sunrise? Holding Robins hand?

But no seriously, If they did it over one night again, It would be better to go right from the start of the night all the way to the sunrise. Longer night = Longer story, seeing as I don't think they'll do it over a few days.

But I think it would just look cool, having an exhausted Batman, In worse condition than in the ending of BAA, with the sun coming up showing he's been fighting right through the night - With the area in tatters and rubble.

The_Hylden
20th Dec 2009, 00:36
Then, right as the camera starts to fade out, some Joe Shmo citizen picks himself out of the rubble and screams at Batman, "HEY! BATMAN! THANKS FOR NOTHIN'! LOOK AT MY HOME! WHERE THE HELL AM I GONNA SLEEP NOW?!! YOU PIECE A *insert your own word here:p* GOOD-FER-NOTHIN' FLYIN' RODENT!!"

There's no realism to a masked vigilantly dressed as a Bat. The red sky represents just how much living in Gotham would suck.

I dout thats what it represents. It just an art style that sucks

The_Hylden

Again, it wasn't always red. In fact, it hardly ever was:

It was only ever used for style, or for realism, as the sky will appear reddish over thin cloud cover at dusk...

And I will not accept criticisms on BTAS!! That was the best cartoon series and possibly my favorite version of the Batman universe!! :rasp:
