I've had problem with BAA randomly freezing, I thought I needed to reload my OS which I did a few days ago. This did not help. I have all the lastest drivers for all my hardware, BAA is patched to the most recent version. I'm using the steam version of BAA. The demo ran fine without any problems. When the game is running it runs very smoothly with no noticable performance issues, but after a random amount of time (anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes) it will "freeze". It isn't a true freeze however as if I wait long enough it will progress a few more frames then stop again. I don't really understand why it's doing this, I play other Unreal Engine 3 games with no problem at all. Yes my processor is overclocked (as well as my video card), I've tried setting them to default factory clock speeds but that also did not help at all.

System Info:

Operating System: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (5.2, Build 3790) Service Pack 2 (3790.srv03_sp2_rtm.070216-1710)
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
2048MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
X-fi platinum

Is there any way you can monitor CPU usage and disk activity, (maybe on a second monitor or just in the background) to see if anything co-incides with the freezes.

It isn't a true freeze however as if I wait long enough it will progress a few more frames then stop again. I don't really understand why it's doing thisyeah i remember exactly this happening for the gordon video. where the audio would go on while looking at a blank screen. i turned off physx from the batman aa launcher, which did it for me.
