View Full Version : GFWL is driving me to bad things

Here is a screenshot of my legally owned copy of BAA:

I'm posting this image because, after repeated attempts to address the issues surrounding GFWL & XP, I still don't have a working game.

A screenshot of said issues:

I don't mind wasting precious hours of my life trying to resolve OS, driver conflicts, and other errors related to the fact that making games is hard. What I am unwilling to do is waste hours of my life attempting to fix an utterly useless appendage to your game.

By the way, do you know what we call applications that surreptitiously install other applications when you run them? Viruses. Congratulations. I hope your mother is proud.

Now I'm confronted with the distasteful choice of either seeking a refund or pirating a copy of a game I already own. Do I need to mention that the folks who skip this frustrating step and proceed directly to piracy are not bothered at all by GFWL?

This anecdotal tale further illustrates the fact that DRM accomplishes nothing besides isolating your legitimate customer base.
