I'm starting this thread so that we can discuss the change of events in the game. Post comments, corrections, opinions and so forth.

So here goes the first analysis, this being the main change in the storyline:

Event: Paradox introduced by sparing Raziel of being absorbed into the Blood Reaver

Before:
-Kain makes his choice before the Pillars
-No relevant threat (e.g. Hylden) opposes Kain
-Kain is the sole vampire in Nosgoth
-Kain starts conquering Nosgoth
-Kain probably learns a method of creating vampires by ways of necromancy
-Kain raids the Sarafan Tomb and resurrects the six corpses
-Those, probably by the same way, create their own armies
-Nosgoth is conquered by the vampire legions

After:
-Kain makes his choice before the Pillars
-The Hylden Lord escapes the DM through Janos
-Kain is the sole vampire in Nosgoth
-By some reason, Kain prefers, and finds a way, to resurrect Vorador (as suggested in BO2 and since no one else seems likely to do it)
-Vorador creates more vampires to form an army
-Kain, leading that army, starts conquering Nosgoth
-In the 200 years of mustering forces, the Hylden Lord establishes the Hylden City, through which the Hylden star escaping the DM
-The battle at the borders of Meridian takes place
-The Hylden Lord is victorious
-The remaining vampires fall into hiding
-200 years later, Kain defeats the Hylden threat
-Kain probably learns a method of creating vampires by ways of necromancy
-Kain raids the Sarafan Tomb and resurrects the six corpses
-Those, probably by the same way, create their own armies
-There are now 2 breeds of vampires inhabiting Nosgoth: the ones from Vorador and the ones from Kain
-Conflict is eminent and the two armies battle each other
-Kain is victorious
-Nosgoth is conquered by Kain's legions

I would say this:

Before:
-Kain makes his choice before the Pillars
-No relevant threat (e.g. Hylden) opposes Kain
-Kain is the sole vampire in Nosgoth
-Kain prefers, and finds a way, to resurrect Vorador
-Vorador creates more vampires to form an army
-Kain, leading that army, starts conquering Nosgoth
-The vampires turn on Kain as he grows to power
-Kain destroys Vorador and the other vampires
-Kain probably learns a method of creating vampires by ways of necromancy
-Kain raids the Sarafan Tomb and resurrects the six corpses
-Those, probably by the same way, create their own armies
-Nosgoth is conquered by the vampire legions

After:
-Kain makes his choice before the Pillars
-The Hylden Lord escapes the DM through Janos
-Kain is the sole vampire in Nosgoth
-Kain prefers, and finds a way, to resurrect Vorador
-Vorador creates more vampires to form an army
-Kain, leading that army, starts conquering Nosgoth
-In the 200 years of mustering forces, the Hylden Lord establishes the Hylden City, through which the Hylden star escaping the DM
-The battle at the borders of Meridian takes place
-The Hylden Lord is victorious
-The remaining vampires fall into hiding
-200 years later, Kain defeats the Hylden threat
-The vampires turn on Kain as he grows to power
-Kain destroys Vorador and the other vampires
-Kain probably learns a method of creating vampires by ways of necromancy
-Kain raids the Sarafan Tomb and resurrects the six corpses
-Those, probably by the same way, create their own armies
-Nosgoth is conquered by Kain's legions

Remember: history abhors a paradox

Erm, yeah. Pretty hard to say. A lot of consequences from the first and third(final?) paradox are known. The second one... not so much.

I think Vorador's resurrection was an officially confirmed result of the second paradox. Might have elder Kain to blame for that one.

Anyhow, good to keep track of you paradoxes.

1st: Kain murders William the Just by crossing two soul reavers. (Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain)

2nd: Raziel spares Kain life. (Legacy of Kain: Soul reaver 2)

3rd: Kain postpones Raziel being imprisoned in the Reaver. (Legacy of Kain: Soul reaver 2)

It's Raziel's fault that the Hylden escaped.:D

Linikratyo, but you're assuming that in the original timeline Kain resurrected Vorador, and that's pure speculation. What was your foundation for that?

Tes, so this would be the 3rd paradox. And yes, it was Raziel's fault the Hylden menace existed but Kain is in fact the one to blame, since he allowed Raziel to live ehe. Why do you say it is due to the 2nd paradox that Vorador was resurected however?

I'm probably wrong. I thought I read it somewhere, but I just did a quick look through some Q&As and came up with nothing. Sorry, my bad. :mad2:

Although, if it turns out to be the older Kain who's responsible for Vorador's resurrection, it might very well be the 2nd one. I just don't think young Kain has the strength. Then again, it might be someone else entirely. Who knows?
