Hi guys,

Have any of you guys had any problems with Games for Windows saying that:

"Batman: Arkham Asylum has not been installed or could not be found. This update installer will now quit"

Now I have installed Batman on another hard drive (F: ) and not my main C: drive, but that can't be the main issue? Surely Microsoft would have known and prepared for people installing the game onto another drive instead of the windows main one?!

I've tried a few times and still get the same error. It's starting to bug me as it takes around 30mins plus for me to get the error come up.

I've downloaded the update patch posted by sero34 (which took minutes, Microsoft should learn from that..... ), but haven't installed it as some people have said it's caused errors & also because I have the UK version of the game and was unsure that it would work with it.

Any suggestions would be most grateful.

Error I'm getting:

Hm not seen any issues related drive letter being different. it uses the registry to know where to find the game when installing the patch.

Thanks for your quick reply. Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

If you run `regedit` and look for

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RocksteadyLtd\Batman Arkham Asylum

Should list `install directory`

It's not even listed in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ section?!! Do you think it could be because I unstalled the demo not long after installing the game?

ahh thas a point, possibly the demo uninstalled that entry..

shouldnt do, but u never know, can you try reinstalling? sorry its a pain

:D No probs I'll uninstall it and try again. ;)

Impressive imdb list by the way, I'm listed on there for a few of the films I've worked on. ;P

Quick edit:

I've reinstalled the game to the F: drive and the game installed with no errors. Whilst the Games for Windows Live is trying to update at the moment, I've noticed that in the regedit, there is still no listing of
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RocksteadyLtd\Batman Arkham Asylum

Edit part 2:

Ran game and after an agonising wait the update installed!

Que: Diabolical laughter (diabolical acting) :nut:

i too have this problem with the UK version of the game, I have mine on the same hard drive, i dont have a registry entry at that point

my registry entry is at local machine> software> eidos interactive> Batman: Arkham Asylum > 1.0.0.0

that could be why it is saying it isnt installed?

this is so wonderful..
