I didn't know the Batcase was metal, depending on the quality, I may forgive them (whoever decided on the Digipack case).

No they dont, a rather large majority of my CEs are packaged in metal cases.

I thought it was like a normal game case with an extra dvd slot. Much like the dark knights 2 disc edition

The digi-pack is the same size as a DVD box. The case which holds the discs slides out of the sleeve/box and then opens like a book. The inside of the 'book' is normally plastic, while the exterior and sleeve are normally cardboard. Its not cheap by any means, its just different. Typically the cardboard is covered with different, more impressive artwork and has a nicer feel to it than a plastic box. Shadow of the Colossus did this, and a few other games. Often special edition movies will come out like this as well.

I already have a couple of spare PS3 cases, clear ones and black ones. i'll just print off a high-res copy of the box art and stick the game into one of those. I never could stand those cardboard cases, and the steelbook ones are often poor quality as well. I'll just stick with the plastic cases :)

Thats the same thing as I'm going to do, have a spare ps3 case lying around so i'll use that and get my cover off cdcovers.cc :)

I've had a couple of steelbooks, but the hinges on them seem to be very fragile. One of mine actually fell apart just opening and closing the case.

PS3 is region unlocked, so you could always get the US one and play it in the EU ;)

You mean PS3 ISN'T region locked.

You can play ANY PS3 game on ANY PS3 in the world, as for Blu-Ray movies, they must be Region A or multi-region (A,B,C).
