Oh and speaking of the Westboro Baptist Church, I just came across this recent Ted talk by now former WBC member Megan Phelps.

    Amazing!

Best Ted talk I've ever seen. Leave it up to an ex WBC member of all people to teach us valuable tools for tolerance and bridging the divides, huh. There may be hope for this crazy world after all.

Well, this vid definitely enlightened my day. Dire Wolf made a video response to Mundane Matt where he pretty much goes out of his way to downplay a pedophile and kiddie pornographer.

To give you the rundown: a 19-year-old girl by the name of Mekenzie Leigh Guffey manipulated a 14-year-old boy into having sex with her, filmed a porno together which shows him fully nude and tried to sign up for Medicaid grants after getting herself pregnant with his child. Mundane Matt thinks it's more complicated than "throw the book at her sick ass," but Dire Wolf wasn't having any of it. Like I said time and time again (and like DW so eloquently says in the aforementioned vid response), I highly doubt he'd be saying that if it was a 19-year-old guy f'ing and getting a 14-year-old girl pregnant and pornographically filming her. Great to see somebody else point out this ridiculous double standard.

The lengths Mundane Matt goes to try to defend and mitigate this piece of 's actions in the video is absolutely appalling, to say the least. She's a pedophile who took advantage of a 14-year-old. And to make matters even worse, she did it for the sole intention of getting herself pregnant with a child that he can't physically or financially provide for (duh), even going as far as to try to get Medicaid supplements in his name.

If anyone should have to provide child support, it's the parents who BTW are facing possible conspiracy charges for letting the sick stay at their house. Sadly, there's a good chance they will make the kid pay her child support. Yes, this actually does happen, how f'ed up is that?

I'd say throw the f'ing book at her. If the roles were reversed, there wouldn't be ANY debate as to whether or not he deserves jail time (and we all know how much prisoners HATE pedophiles, that'll end well). The fact that she's trying to take advantage of our broken AF alimony system (which, again, has no qualms about making kids pay child support) makes me even more furious.

25-to-life for this woman, no less.

This. This. Has me. Very. EXCITED.

NETFLIX made an official announcement to be developing a Witcher series. This adaptation to be taken more directly from the original Polish novels by Andrzej Kapowzki than the games. It seems the author wasn't too happy with the games, despite being critically acclaimed across the board, and which I think most of us would agree is an outstanding achievement of the medium. Though it seems he just doesn't like video games as a whole from what I've read. But he is supporting the TV adaptation as a creative consultant.

I've already heard a lot of people wanting to see Mads Mikkelson (Hannibal, Dr. Strange) as Geralt, which I would totally get behind. And I've pitched in my own casting ideas where it really matters

Yennefer: Kate Beckinsale or Haley Atwell or Lexa Doig
Triss: Tricia Helfer or Laura Vandervoort or Morena Baccarin

While there have been a few misses, the majority of Netflix original series has been gold, and I see a great deal of potential here. BRING IT OOOOOOOON!!!!!

Great news regarding the Witcher Netflix series... good to know that Netflix will soon be getting their own GoT.

Also, I know I don't talk about music a whole lot on here, but the new Linkin Park album, One More Light was just leaked online the other day and, holy . To say it sounds "different" is quite an understatement.

I know they've tried new things before (Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns, etc.), but man, talk about a complete 180 from the rap-metal we're accustomed to hearing. Anyone who's heard the new single, Heavy already knows about the whole new direction (which that song's rather quite catchy despite the stark contrast in style).

One thing remains unchanged, though: Chester's amazing voice. It's great to hear it in all its singing glory at least.

Oh, and in other music-related news, R.I.P. Chris Cornell. Tragic last couple of years for music, first Scott Weiland (thus killing any chance of a Velvet Revolver reunion) and now this.

    Grunge is cursed.

Please get involved and support this amazing TR project to record the original themes by Nathan McCree as much as you can. It is going to be incredible if it happens. It is going to take a huge effort to get to the target so we need all the support we can get.

This is awesome! Meagan has a feature in IGN with her Wonder Woman cosplay, in tribute to the movie that's just days away now.

You should all congratulate her in the Facebook post where she posted this

Meagan deserves the recognition, her cosplays are so good.

Did you read some of the comments though? So disrespectful.

On IGN, that's par for the course. I snapped back at one on her facebook post though.

Always love Meagan's work, she gets plenty of love. Publicity always attracts idiots, they're easy to ignore.

I just got Tekken 7: Fated Retribution today for my PS4. I've been playing the hell out of it on my Hori fight stick.

I, of course, started out with Akuma on Arcade Mode and man, for a guy predicated on being so OP, he really is lacking in combos or at least they're super hard to pull off. I remember having to use MANY continues to beat Kazumi (the end boss). Then I started playing Treasure Mode with Nina Williams (it's basically Survival Mode where you earn Fight Money to unlock new costumes, weapons, items, etc.), and damn, she's OP as hell in this game. Her combos and move set are off the freaking charts, I was able to master her combos without even practicing. I went from getting my ass kicked with Akuma to instantly taking names with Nina.

    She's also fine as hell:

I dropped out of Tekken after 3, Tag 2 being the exception. 4-6 just felt so clumsy to me. 6 was ok (played it on my brother in law's 360) but didn't really feel it.

I think the last fighting game I really enjoyed was StreetFighter Third Strike. Everything else feels like DoA or later MK, both of which I don't like.

got tekken 7 as well. plays wonderfully on pc. was afraid that the port will suck but its not the case. was even more surprised that they havent charged that much for it either. but, i also got it for the ps4 as well so that me and my wife can play together. she did actually pretty well. i got the pc version to show my support for the platform. what i find a tiny bit disappointing that there is no jukebox on the pc version. dont know why they have not done that. also the ps4 version came with a soundtrack. which i did not really like much besides one song that i do not mind.

yeah, nina is certainly the hottest character in the series. no wonder they have made a game only of her, titled "death by degrees". which was an ok game with a surprisingly interesting story.
she certainly a very powerful character. i am not very good at this game, even though i have played it a lot with friends since tekken 2 but i was always nervous when my friend chose her or even just fighting her controlled by the AI. i actually lost against her when i was having a very good winning streak in treasure hunt. she kicked my ass big time.
the character i am still more familiar with is asuka kazama. since she has the same fighting style as june from tekken 2 to 4. kind of wonder why she wasnt in anymore since she appeared to be permanently in the series.
nina is my second most played character. she is easy to play and as you said kman, her combos are easy to perform.

Here's another vid response taking Mundane Matt to task for defending a pedophile because "muh vagina":

Again, I guar-damn-tee you he wouldn't be saying this if it was a 19-year-old guy getting a 14-year-old girl pregnant, this guy hits the point home many times in this vid, I applaud him for that. I'll admit his idea of punishing this woman is a "bit" cruel, but nonetheless, he was spot on. Hell, if I was the judge, I'd sentence her even longer just for trying to trap the kid with child support (which he will have to pay her when he turns 18 BTW as Warcorpse666 pointed out), that should equate to "statutory rape with special circumstances" IMO.

So the E3 is about to start tomorrow anyone have a specific game they are looking forward to learn more about? I don't really have one at the moment, haven't been following gaming news that much lately so will see if there are some nice surprises lurking around the corner.

    Aww yee!

It actually starts today (EA press conference) which is even better

I'm dying to see the new Assassin's Creed game, I didn't realise how much I needed their yearly releases haha
Also looking forward to seeing gameplay for Far Cry 5, The Last of Us Part 2 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
And of course, praying for some Tomb Raider or Lara Croft love

Speaking of E3, I hear Konami's lined up to appear.

Don't get too excited, it's probably more Metal Gear Left 4 Dead, err, I mean Survive footage (along with a release date), because it worked so well for them when it was first shown off:

To think that this was their attempt to win back disgruntled fans after all their -ups over the last couple of years (of which there have been many by this company): the most bland, generic, industry-standard, pedestrian concept possible for a game with the Metal Gear name slapped on it for extra sales.

That MGS3 Fox Engine remake that everyone actually would've wanted to play? They wasted it on a pachinko machine and gave us this instead, remember that.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of The Last of Us Part 2 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy!

Not holding my breath for anything TR related because, if memory serves me well, it has been confirmed that TR won't be at E3...

We'll almost certainly get Uncharted: The Lost Legacy footage, possibly The Last of Us Part II as well, but I wouldn't get my hopes up TOO much because it's in its very early stages of development.

Unfortunately, we probably won't hear anything about the next TReboot game for quite a while.

Personally, I'm hoping for either DMC5 or REmake 2 (there's a good chance we will get to see at least one of the two @ E3). Some footage on the Avengers game would be nice, but we probably won't get that, either. I doubt they even have any footage to show yet at the present moment. CD/SE said we wouldn't even be getting any new info on the game until 2018, bummer.

uncharted lost legacy and last of us 2 are also titles im looking forwards to. since i got my self a ps4 last easter, i have played through the first game twice and im eager for part 2.
the upcoming uncharted looks pretty neat too, since in part 4 we have never heard of chloe after part 3. i have already seen a 15min playthrough which does look interesting. at least my local store states that the game will be released on the 23.8.17.

if we will hear about REmake 2, i hope they will show something. at least its confirmed that they are working on it. i also know many people want a remake or at least a remastered version of the first dino crisis. i still love this game but it certainly could use a graphical overhaul. even on pc you had a fixed resolution of 640x480.

I'm not sure what the popular game sites are these days if any at all, but for an overview of the latest E3 trailers and streams there's:

EA's conference was very lack luster. Way too much emphasis on sports, but that's usually expected. But really too many of the stage speeches... just criiiiiiiiiiiiiinge.

Star Wars Battlefront 2, after the burn from the first game which I was previously anticipating, I'm holding my breath to see if they deliver on the promise of expanded content (out of the box) and more features. I will say though, Naboo is a ridiculously pretty map to have a war engagement in.

The one saving grace of the show was that new game, A Way Out. Looks like a really intriguing co-op game, one that contextually demands cooperation, as something crucial to a prison escape setting. Made me think of Prison Break made into a game... just needed one of the protagonists to have the facility blueprints tattooed on his body, heh

I know EA's presser didn't leave us a whole lot to look forward to (and I wasn't expecting much from them because, well, it's EA), but damn, I gotta admit that Battlefront 2 reveal blew me away. It looks like they REALLY hit the ball out of the park with this one, adding >3x the content from the first game AND free DLC. Holy cow. For once, EA actually listens, I'll be damned.

As an added bonus, the mocap chick playing one of the new characters who gave the presentation, Janina Gavankar was looking mighty fine if I do say so myself.

I would've liked to have seen Dead Space 4 @ E3's presser last night, but I think it's a lost cause at this point sadly.

Oh, and speaking of surprises, SE leaked the new KH3 trailer early and it's for the Xbox One, marking the very first game in the series to make its way onto Xbox platforms:

After everything I've been hearing, I was beginning to lose hope that we would get it this year, but here we are. Color me amped.

It'd be great if we could get some new FF7R footage and a release date for the first episode as well, but they're so far behind that they're just beginning to hire talent 2 years after its reveal. Add Nomura facing the dilemma of working on two games at once, and it's a safe bet that we won't be getting it anytime soon and certainly not the full game. It's really frustrating in a sense because we were led to believe that it was being worked on this whole time and the first episode would drop this year, but they still don't even have the staff for it yet 2 years later apparently.

In SE's defense, though, it was reported that way, so I'm not gonna pin this on them.
