    2015 Ambassador Program - Q&A Thread

    Our forum ambassador Patrick will be attending a group interview with the Tomb Raider dev team, as well as a private session with the devs. Use this thread to post your questions about Rise of the Tomb Raider that you would like Patrick to ask during this year's E3 event.

    Unlike our regular Q&A sessions, you are not limited to only 2 questions; feel free to ask as many as you'd like! Also, we're doing a +1 system this session, meaning that if you want to see a question answered that someone else already posted here, just quote it and reply with "+1" and we'll add a vote for it. This way we'll keep track of which questions are most popular in the community.

    Tip: try to +1 questions that you most want to see answered; giving a +1 to a large amount of questions at the same time will leave us unable to determine which ones are you favourites!

    - will we be able to play as other characters in the game?
    - will we have any playable flashbacks of lara and sam? to explain their friendship, like how they have met and what they have done?
    - is it again only going to be dark themed or are there some cheerful (playable) moments?
    - will the main theme stay the same?
    - when can you announce the release for the other platforms or when do you estimate the game to be released for the other platforms?
    - because of the outcry for not releasing the game on the other platforms, will we get some compensation like all DLC's?

    I mean, surely we all want +1 to every question?

    ~ Alongside the expanded set of animal enemies, will there also be a larger variety of human enemies? (ie fat, thin, short, tall, women, men, blonde, ginger)

    ~ We know about Serbia and the Oasis, but what other environments will we see in Rise?

    ~ Will Lara's new range of outfits actually effect Lara and her abilities? (ie Less damage in a more armored outfit ala Resident Evil 4 suit of armor)

    ~ Will the much loved, and missed classic outfit make a return? (either story related or unlockable)

    ~ What kind of improvements have you made to Lara's hair; have you upgraded the physics, or will every version be utilizing Tres FX?

    - Will the player lose himself exploring the world you crafted?
    - Are you planning on creating an actual boss fight this time?

    & Will there be an expert difficulty that pushes the player more than your regular "Hard" difficulty?

    Additionally, 1, how many locations are there?

    I'd like to repeat the question I asked before:


    2, Will the platforming sections in Rise be less automated and scripted than the previous game and will the platforming become more challenging as the game progresses? (Again in comparison to the last game).

    Will 'silent take downs' or sneaking be possible in ALL combat scenes, or will Lara still be confronted by hundreds of enemies at once, like the scenes in Shanty Town?

    1.with increase in level of complexity helps in the form of highlighting of subjects will be cleaned?
    2.whether there will be in game a need to eat food, to drink?
    3.how physical damages, will affect Lara?

    I gots another question-s!

    ~ Will there be a downloadable demo of the game, before or after release?

    ~ Will the North America region be getting a physical copy of the game on PC? (They couldn't with TR9)

    Just a few days left! Keep the questions coming, folks

    Remember, our ambassador Patrick will have attend a group Q&A session with the devs as well as a longer one-on-one interview session with one of the key people at Crystal. Plus, this being E3 might just mean that the folks at Crystal will be less tight-lipped than they were before, so don't shy away from any question you'd like to ask that you feel will go unanswered. They may, but maybe they will not!
