I actually liked this arc. I liked it better than the magic mushroom cult. But yeah, this should be the end of Samiko (if not Sam).

Anyhoo, #12 Preview. I'm not able to get the images.

If I'm completely honest, these Dark Horse comics have been pretty forgetful... if it wasn't for Rai updating this thread with the previews I wouldn't even remember to read them... The story arcs have been so uninspiring, some of the issues feel like fillers where nothing really happens, and now we are yet again with a Samiko arc!

That's exactly what they were though: fillers between the games. I feel CD probably had too much say in regards with what the writers could do with Lara. I can't help wondering what we'd have got had the writers had had more freedom.

I think my favourite was the Serpent Queen arc as that felt like an adventure at least.

Lara and Sam make out scenes

    ^ Quite likely .

Well that's it for the post Rise run.

I don't know if there was only 2 arcs planned, or if they were cut short. The plots weren't great, but I'm actually gonna miss my monthly fix to tide us over between games. Especially as we have no idea how long there is before the next game.

So, Roo or Metal, would you mind letting me know if Sam lives through this arc? (In spoiler tags ofc)

I don't know when I'll next be able to venture into the city centre to pick up my missing issues

Sure. I'll keep it simple, so I won't spoil how, but:

Okay so, I've finally finished them!

I get what you mean about Sam. Although, let's say she was on a nice holiday somewhere tropical and Lara just happened to be around... Could team up

Didn't think this last arc was too bad tbh, far more interesting than the 'shrooms storyline.

So there's this: volume 3. Volume suggests the complete arc. Shouldn't they be starting soon if there are six issues? No announcement yet.

Thanks to Eliparker for finding it.

There is no listing for Tomb Raider in Dark Horse's releases in June or July. Is it safe to assume then that Arc 3 will go straight to Trade Paperback?

I've just ordered Volume 2 from amazon for the post Rise storyline. I read the preview for it and am surprised Sam is making a comeback since she wasn't in Rise. The first volume didn't have much to do with Rise except a brief mention of Trinity with a tiny picture as sort of a flashback. I do hope in future volumes we see more Rise stuff.

I'm wondering when Dark Horse are planning on announcing this. It's over 6 months away, so could be a while.

Unless they plan on releasing the full volume alongside the first issue?
    (idk how comics usually release)
    Perhaps someone could pester Robin?

Pester Robin? As in the community person who left CD a while back? She was great, but I don't think she'd know anything.

All I know is with the TR comics, the final issue of each arc released around 4 months before its TPB volume . There isn't enough time for individual issues this time unless there is an overlap.

    EDIT:
Also, is anyone collecting the Archives comics? I want to but they cost loads...

Pretty sure This Tweet is indicating the oficial announcement of the V3 TPB listed - finally

See you at #SDCC2017 at the @DarkHorseComics booth with @JacksonLanzing & @cpkelly where we'll be announcing our new project!
    Edit:

Polygon.com are reporting the return of the comics, with issue 1 due out 22nd November, with apparently only four issues.

Thanks Driber. I like that art style.

I will be getting these comics to continue my collection. Not overly keen on the daddy story though. Again. Perhaps this short arc will tie up loose ends - finally. I'm not familiar with Jackson Lanzing or Collin Kelly as I don't normally read comics, but hopefully they can do a decent job.

4 issues means decent story development in each issue, right?

Lets hope so! The previous run had terrible pacing imo.
